BAE

BAE

Jahzara Bradley: Welcome to the Oh, Girl PLEASE Blog, William McCraney. I hope you are having an Awesomely Amazing Day. Tell our readers a little bit about you. Tell them something that most people would be shocked to know about you.

William McCraney: Well I was born and raised in Gary, IN. I graduated from Roosevelt HS in '83. I joined the Marine Corp for 4years: 1983 - 1987. I have 5 kids, 3 boys, and 2 girls. And right now I'm a truck driver. Now to the good part, I am an artist, photographer, and designer. At the age of 4, I was doing a lot of drawing and fell in love with art. In the 7th grade, I started my business... selling plastic key chains by cutting out their initials. I did this for a year. I started my 2nd business when I was 16 years old, it consisted of sketching out portraits. After the Marine Corp, I got married and had kids. At this time I needed extra income. I started a graphic art business. With my regular job, and the money, I made from the business made things a little better. Now I'm a Truck Driver, Photographer, and Designer.

Jahzara Bradley: Wow, William, that is an impressive background. I am interested in your clothing line BAE, tell us how the concept came about and when it came into conception.

William McCraney: I have other t-shirt designs out there but I realize one thing I wasn't focused on a brand. I was pretty much all over the place. I did some research and realized that the successful Brands had one simple word that describes who they were. They put a popular slogan behind that word which people can relate to. So, I did more research on the most popular words for 2020, and what was trending for clothing designs one of the words was BAE. And the most popular clothing designs were bold, loud, and bright colors. BAE, it's an acronym it has two other meanings one is black and educated, the other is best aunt ever. At that point, I knew I had to separate myself and come up with my own meaning for BAE I did even more research on positive words beginning with the letter b, a, and e. I came up with Bold and Elegant.

The breakdown meaning for BAE/Bold and Elegant.
B/Bold: A person showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous.

A/And: used to connect words of the same part of speech, clauses, or sentences, that are to be taken jointly.

E/Elegant: Having a strong or vivid appearance. Pleasingly graceful and stylish in appearance.

Jahzara Bradley: This may be a difficult question, but what is your favorite article of clothing in the BAE line and why?

William McCraney: LOL, I like them all, but, If had to choose one it would be the V neck because it's beautiful.

Jahzara Bradley: Lol, William, it's a question I like to ask people often. I do understand how it can be difficult to choose one particular thing especially when you have a vast array. I understand that you are looking for influencers to represent your brand. How would one contact you in regards to representing your branding? Are there specific criteria you require for influencers regarding representing your brand?

 William McCraney:  BAE/Bold and Elegant.

Jahzara Bradley: What is next and on the horizon for you?

 William McCraney:  Menswear.

Jahzara Bradley: Sounds exciting. Can't wait to see that clothing line. Please let our readers know how they can reach out to you and connect with you on social media.

DYME PIECES

                                                              Makeup is Art

Kimberly Allen, CEO of Dyme Pieces

Jahzara Bradley: Kimberly Allen, thank you for being on the Girl, PLEASE blog! Kimberly Allen is the CEO of Dyme Pieces. I love her products and you will too.

Jahzara Bradley: How did you come up with the name Dyme Pieces?

Kimberly Allen: Dyme Pieces is a way to say something is perfect, no flaws in that person's eyes. At the time when I came up with the name, I was making handmade jewelry. So by it being handmade, custom made it was perfect, flawless jewelry pieces.

Jahzara Bradley: How did you get into the cosmetic industry?

Kimberly Allen: I started making things for my family and friends. Then I was getting great feedback from them on how they loved my organic Suga Body Scrubs and lip balm. It started being a domino effect because I learned how to make lip gloss, lipstick, eyeshadow, etc. I wanted to come out with a black own cosmetic line that was healthy and natural but also very affordable too. So the cosmetics got added to my brand because I was already making jewelry and fashion.

Jahzara Bradley: What is your favorite product to create?

Kimberly Allen: My favorite product to create is lipstick. I love creating endless colors and seeing them come out the molds. It's like a work of art because this is something you created.

Jahzara Bradley: What do you tell people who shy away from color in the makeup?

Kimberly Allen: I tell my Dymes to be open-minded and explore when it comes to makeup. I talk them into getting out of their comfort zone. A lot of women like to play it safe and stick to what they know or familiar with. All my make up is for all skin tones. Makeup is art. You are the artist and your face is the canvas.

Jahzara Bradley: How can people connect with you on social media?

Kimberly Allen: You can connect with me on social media through Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. www.dymepiecesdesigns.bigcartel.com
